Nothing quite like erasing yourself after a beautiful boozy birthday breakfast(brunch) in Brooklyn.

I went to Brian LaRossa & Allie Rex’s opening at Like the Spice Gallery last night in Williamsburg and did an etch of the artist. After I took a picture of him taking a picture of the etch, I made him erase himself.
Found my doppleganger drawing in his sketchbook somewhere around Harlem.

I learned a lot today. I spent half of my day with the gopro camera blazing and the other half without it. I figured New Yorkers were a little camera shy… but really had no clue. They really came out of there shells when it was just the etchAsketch. Great conversations. Lots of interaction amongst strangers talking about art and memories. So in the short run, the performance here is taking precedence over the documentation. I will keep taking photos of the etches… but for the sake of the model experience, the documentary film slant is getting the chopping block. ciao for now.
